Dear Friends of KoMSO,

It is our pleasure to present the third KoMSO newsletter of the year.

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupts public life. Naturally, this also affects the MSO community. Therefore, this edition of our newsletter comes in a slightly reduced version and primarily contains calls for proposals and contributions.

Upcoming conferences & events

Cancelations due to the COVID-19 pandemic

We refrain from reporting the plethora of conferences and workshops canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, we will inform about new dates or alternative plans (holding video conferences, etc.) once confirmed.

MATHMOD2021

The "10th Vienna International Conference on Mathematical Modelling" will take place from February 17 to 19, 2021 at Vienna University of Technology in Vienna, Austria. Proposals for minisymposia and submissions recently opened and are possible until late summer. More information can be found at <https://www.mathmod.at/>.

"Journal of Mathematics in Industry" special issue on COVID-19

The "Journal of Mathematics in Industry" plans a special issue on mathematical models of the spread and consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the effects on health, society, industry, economics, and technology. Contributions will be peer-reviewed and published online in a timely manner in order to provide a benefit for society. EU-MATHS-IN call for success stories

BMBF call for proposals "KI4KMU"
